5th Denver Colorado Mayor. Other positions of his were 1st Colorado Territorial Treasurer 1861-1864, Official Colorado Librarian, Treasurers of Arapahoe County Colorado and Denver, Secretary of the 1st Colorado State Senate, delegate to Republican National Convention from Colorado in 1880 . He was known as "The Boy Mayor". Clark was also General Manager of Republican Publishing Company, and Secretary of the Board of Capital Managers from 1883 to 1888, in charge of building the Colorado state capital. He was a founding member of First National Bank of Denver. He was known for bringing the first piano to Denver.
