Born in Taylor, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Kristoff Sabel.
Mrs. Barnickle was a homemaker and member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons; and a sister of Mt. Laurel, N.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Yerema.

The service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will follow in the chapel. Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes.
