"Karl Dankert died at his home, 1012 Rumely Street, Saturday afternoon at 3:30, at the age of 79 years, from old age. He was born in Mecklenberg-Shwerin, Germany, and leaves to mourn his loss the widow and three children, L.F. Dankert, Sophia Gillham and Minnie Freeland, all from this county, 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the residence. Burial at Patton's cemetery. Rev. Paul Zumstein officiating. Weir & Petering are in charge."
