Marjorie N. Pearson was a daughter of Congressman and Ambassador Richmond Pearson (1852-1923) of North Carolina, and his wife Gabrielle Thomas (1858-1924) who was originally from Virginia. While Marjorie's death certificate states she was born in Virginia, I expect she was actually born at her parents home, Richmond Hill, near Asheville...and she died in Asheville at the age of 82. There were four Pearson children, but only two, Marjorie and her brother Thomas Pearson (1893-1963), lived to grow up. Neither of them married.
