Was Mother Of Nine Children
Mrs. William E. Brown, who died last Saturday and was buried in a local cemetery, was 50 years old and had been the mother of nine children. She was born June 18, 1859, in Missouri, her maiden name being Lavonia McKinney. Her parents moved to Clayton county, Idaho, in 1877.
Her marriage to William E. Brown followed. Of the nine children born, four died in infancy. Fifteen years ago she became afflicted with asthma against which she struggled until her death. In 1905 she was taken to North Dakota in the hope that the change of climate would be beneficial. Six years later she came to Montana, where her health was much improved until her last illness. Heart trouble was the cause of death.
Surviving her are her husband and four daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Gilson, Edgely, N.D.; Mrs. Eva Gibbons, Adrian, N.D.; Mrs. Emma Davies and Mrs. Minerva Jones, both of Power, Mont.; one son, Thomas Brown of Power; nine grandchildren and three sisters.
