Arlis Martin

From two articles in the Houston (Texas) Post, one in the Houston (Texas) Chronicle), and one in the Calico Rock Progress, it was reported that Arlis Martin was killed by being hit by a truck as he was crossing a Houston street. According to one of the articles, he had gone from Norfork to Houston four months earlier seeking employment. He was working for Sears, Roebuck & Company in Houston. The articles indicated that he was survived by his mother, Mrs. Retha Branscum, of Norfork, and that his body was being returned to Norfork over the Missouri Pacific Railroad lines.
