Hannah married Frederick Keister, Sr. (1730-1815) in 1755 in Bath Co., Virginia, who had came to the settlement about the same time.
Hannah had 2 children on the dreadful day of 04/28/1758 when all in Fort Seybert, Augusta County (now Pendelton County), (W.) Virginia, were massacred or taken captive by Indians. It is believed that she and her sister, Ester (Dyer) Patton, were visiting relatives in the Shenandoah Valley at this time.
Hannah lived in Pendleton Co., (W.) Virginia, with her husband/family for many years of the later part of her life including in 1792 & 1810.
Hannah (Dyer) Keister died at Brandywine, Pendelton Co., (W.) Virginia, on November 10, 1820, at the age of 85 years, and she is buried in the Keister Cemetery #3 near one mild south of Brandywine, Pendleton Co., (W.) Va., beside her husband. Her original headstone is still standing at her grave along with a newer headstone added much later.
