KRUEGER--Mrs. Fred Krueger dies here Sunday, rites Wednesday
Mrs. Fred (Alma) Krueger, 64, Platte Center, died Sunday evening at the Lutheran hospital. She had been ill the past 12 days.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran church, Platte Center. The Rev. Ed Neben will officiate, and burial will be in the Baptist Cemetery.
The body is to lie in state at McKown Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday then at the church from 1 p.m. to the hour of service.
She was born 27 Dec 1899 at Platte Center, the daughter of Herman A. and Mary Brunken Kluever, and attended Dist. 22 and Dist. 28 schools.
On Dec. 14, 1919, she was married to Fred Krueger at Columbus. They lived at Ithaca until 1920, when they came to Platte Center to since reside.
Mrs. Krueger was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and was a past president of that organization. She was also affiliated with the Grace Lutheran Ladies aid, Concordia Teachers College Guild, and Birthday Club.
The family requests that memorials be made to Grace Lutheran church.
Mrs. Krueger is survived by her husband; two sons, Leroy and Arlie of Columbus; one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Eleanor) Bruckner of Platte Center; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Kluver and Alfred (Bob) Kluever of Columbus and Henry Kluver of Platte Center; and three sisters, Mrs. Shirley Morgan and Mrs. Loren (Dorothea) Pollard of Columbus, and Mrs. Albert (Clara) Goering of Platte Center.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons and two infant daughters; her parents; one brother, Ray; and two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Mable) Goering and Bertha.
