He is survived by his wife, Edna Boone, Sharpsburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and William Phillips, Sharpsburg; Kathy and Greg Gower, Sharpsburg; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Katherine Boone, Spruce Pine, NC; 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 1 o'clock at Palmetto Baptist Church with remains placed in state at 12 o'clock. Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating.
