Mary Ann Atwell, age 93, Logansport, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at her residence.

Born March 21, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Asa Emerson and Pearl Myers Guthrie.

On July 15, 1952, in Monticello, she was married to Arthur H. “Bus” Atwell, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1995.
A 1940 graduate of Logansport High School. She then attended Logansport Business College.

Employed as a teller at the National Bank of Logansport.
A member of the Logansport Elkettes, VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary and Mary Dykeman Guild.

Member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, Michael E. (Edie) Atwell, and a daughter, Annette M. (Dale) Urbin, grandchildren, Michael N. Atwell, LaNette Urbin, Kyle Urbin, Anthony (Michelle) Brown and Sunshine (Brian) Miller; great granddaughters, Brooklyn Miller and Emma Brown.

Mary Ann had a 67-year-long friendship with Estie, which included a traditional, weekly shopping trip to Lafayette, Kokomo or somewhere, after getting her hair done.
