DAVID WILLIAM ADAMSON
David William Adamson, 72, 222 East Seventh South Street, died at his home Thursday at 11:30 p.m. of a heart ailment.
Son of Alexander G. and Elizabeth McGill Adamson, he was born in Brighton, October 1, 1871. On November 4, 1904 he married Sarah Hawkes, West Weber, in the Logan LDS Temple. She died in 1925. He later was married to Maude Marshal Yelter, who survives him.
A member of the LDS church, he filled a Northern States Mission from 1898 to 1900. He was a member of the Pioneer stake high council from 1903 to 1912. At the time of his death he belonged to the third LDS Ward.
He was a mining engineer and earlier in life was engaged to the real estate business.
Survivors include his widow: two sons, Nathan W. and David W. Adamson Jr., Salt Lake City; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, Mrs Adrienne Scharman, Miss LuDean Adamson and Miss Maudelia Adamson, Salt Lake City; Miss Julia Adamson, Los Angelses; two stepsons, Marshall Yeiter, Bountiful; Ben Yeiter, in U.S.Navy; a stepdaughter, Miss Florence Yeiter, Blyth, Cal.: three brothers, Alex M. and Herbert C. Adamson, Salt Lake City, and George H. Adamson, Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie A Nielson and Mrs Jossie Kurlen, Salt Lake City, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at 36 East Seventh South street by Sheldon R. Brewster, Bishop, Third LDS Ward. Friends may call at the place of funeral until time of services. Burial will be in the West Weber Cemetery.
