Mr. Wayne E. Luckhart, 62, Route 1, Laurelville, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Lancaster Fairfield Hospital.

Born June 30, 1906 in Colrain Twp., Ross County, he was the son of John and Edna Black Luckhart.

Mr. Luckhart graduated from Saltcreek High School in 1924. He was a member of the Pickaway County Farm Bureau where he was a member of both the board and council, and ASC Twp. committeeman, served the past two years as Pickaway County Grain Deputy, and was a member of the Saltcreek Valley Grange.

He survived by his widow, Mrs. Virginia Mowery Luckhart, Route 1, Laurelville, two sons, Max, Route 1, Laurelville and David E. Luckhart of Chillicothe; one sister, Mrs John (Martha) Hinton, Route 1 Laurelville; seven grandchildren, and Mrs, Jane Bowles who was reared in the Luckhart home; one niece, Mrs. Wayne Bowers and a nephew, Berlin Hinton.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Defenbaugh Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Zietlow officiated with interment in Tarlton Cemetery.

Saltcreek Twp. Grange held services at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Members of the Farm Bureau Coucil served as pall bearers.
