Elizabeth married Thomas Nesmith November 29, 1820 in Roane County, TN. Her sister, Nancy Roberts, married Alexander Nesmith, the widowed father of Elizabeth's husband, Thomas. Elizabeth's brother was Isaac Roberts who married Elizabeth Dunaway. These three are the only known siblings to migrate to Alabama out of a family of eleven children born to Zaccheus and Nancy Roberts.
Elizabeth Nesmith's death date is unknown, however, she was still living in the 1850 Morgan County census but has passed away by the 1860 census.
