Miss Gertrude Moon, lifelong resident of Stratford, died early last evening at a convalescent home in Gloversville, terminating a six month's illness. She was previously confined to the Nathan Littauer hospital. She was born in the town of Stratford, in 1884, daughter of John and Frances "Fannie" (Thompson) Moon.
She is survived by two aunts, Mrs. Bertha (Thompson) Warner, White Plains; and Mrs. Mary (Thompson) Taylor, North Helmer avenue in Dolgeville.
The funeral will be held from the Jacobson funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. by Reverend C. A. Moulton, pastor of the Universalist Church, officiating. The body will be placed in the Dolgeville vault for burial in Stratford Cemetery in the spring.
