Edward Semerau
Edward Semerau, 80, Marathon, a resident of the county all his life, died yesterday afternoon at 1:40 o'clock in a local hospital after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Steiber funeral home at Marathon, with the Rev. W.H.Ortwien, pastor of the St. Paul's Evangelical church here, officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity cemetery in the town of Stettin.
Mr. Semerau was born October 13, 1869, in the town of Texas, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Semerau. He was unmarried and had worked in the woods in the Marathon area for many years before his retirement.
Surviving are a brother, August Semerau, town of Stettin, and two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Gahnz, 615 S. Fifth avenue, and Mrs. Minnie Griggel, 1323 S. Ninth avenue.
