John Bender passed away on September 14, 1874 at the age of 57. Predeceased by his wife Catharine Miller several months prior to his death. John was the son of the late Jacob Bender and Magdalena (Lena) Brenneman.
Survived by his mother, Lena; 2 daughters, Magdalena Streicher and Mary Yantzi; 8 sons, Jacob, Christian, John, Joseph, Solomon, Samuel, David, and Noah.
Also predeceased by his son Moses in 1857.
