Oro Jackson, 96, of Navo passed away March 13, 2009 following a brief illness. Oro was born Sept. 30, 1912 in Athens, Texas to Samuel Dennis and Costanza (Gussie) Paschal. Her family moved to Denton County when she was a young child, where she lived all but the last eight years of her life. She married Charlie Myron (C.M.) Jackson on Nov. 2, 1931 in Marietta, Okla. Mrs. Jackson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She treasured being a home maker, wife, her family and living in the country. She also worked for 28 years at Texas Woman's University in the Textile Research Department as a research technician.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas. The services will be conducted by Bryan H. Sinclair, husband of grand daughter Kim (Jackson) Sinclair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Charlie Myron (C.M.) Jackson in March 1981, their daughter Glenell Jackson Merritt in April 2005, and son Douglas Earl Jackson in January 2009. She is also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by their son Charlie E. Jackson and wife Joyce of Dallas and one brother Samuel Dennis (Sam) Paschal and wife Lois of Jacksboro, Texas, and one brother-in-law Alvis Jackson of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
