OBITUARY:
Hassie Brown
Jul 29, 1849 - Jul 5, 1933
Mrs. Hassie Brown, age 83 years, wife of the late H.S. Brown, died at the home of her son, Ed Brown at Emhouse Monday morning at 8:20. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Baptist Church in Emhouse and will be conducted by the Rev. J.F. Stanley. Burial will be in the Cryer Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown had lived in the Emhouse Community 44 years and was well known over Navarro County.
Surviving are four sons, Ed Brown, Cader Brown, W.E. (Wallace Eugene) Brown, all of Emhouse, J.I. Brown of Roane; three daughters: (Jennie) Mrs. D.T. (Dozier Thornton) Collins; Barry, (Sarah Lelah) Mrs. A.G. DuBose, Aspermont; and Mrs. K.E. Melton, Rosser.
The funeral services will be directed by the Corley Funeral Home.
