Raymond Edwin Trimble

LONDON, Texas
Raymond Edwin Trimble passed from this earth to eternal rest on April 27, 2008, at his home.

Raymond was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Menard County. He attended Menard public schools and graduated from Menard High School in 1950. Raymond worked for Texas Animal and Predator Control Service for more than 30 years. Raymond graduated from Angelo State University in 1968. He also served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 80th Airborne Division. Raymond lived a full life doing the things he liked best hunting, fishing, ranching and being outdoors.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, in the Gentry-Fife Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Menard.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Marty Trimble of London, Texas; sons, Tom Trimble (Sandy)and children (from 1st marriage); Adualee, Jennifer, Zane and Seth; Jym Trimble, wife Denette, and children (from 1st marriage), Michael, Jeffrey, Jaymie and Blair; and Raymond Edwin Trimble Jr. He also is survived by his brothers, Earl Trimble and wife Ann, Van Trimble and wife Ora Fae, Carol (Mote)Trimble and wife Carolyn; a sister, Winnie Mae Sauer, her daughters, Dottie Searcy, husband Joe, and children, Donny, Jody and Martha Lou, Shirley Murach and husband Wayne, Martha Kay Fraley, husband Jim, and children, Michael and Becky, Susan Lloyd and children, Maria, Jerrie, Crystal and Sheryl, Patricia Moeller, husband Charlie, and children, Raline (Watson) and Madison (Moeller), and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Reason Seth and Alien Trimble; brothers, Marion Trimble, Roy Trimble and Phil Trimble; sisters, Faye Patton, Effie Neal and son David Allen Trimble and wife Bernice Trimble.

A Fisherman?s Prayer
I pray that I may fish until my dying day,
And when it comes to my last cast; I then most humbly pray, when in the Lord's great landing net
and peacefully asleep; that in His mercy I be judged big enough to keep.

Services are entrusted to Gentry-Fife Funeral Home.
