Christian Van Trimble 94, went to his heavenly home on June 11, 2016, in Menard, Texas.

Van was born July 14, 1921, in Menard County to Reason Seth and Alien May (Mogford) Trimble.

He had a large loving family which consisted of his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

He attended the Ellis school and later graduated from Menard High school.

Van was inducted into the U.S. Army on July 18, 1942, in Abilene, Texas. He served in the Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland Campaigns. He served until he received his honorable discharge on October 20, 1945.

Upon return to civilian life, he returned to Menard and married the love of his life, Ora Fay Low, on August 3, 1946. Together they had a life full of love and laughter while raising their four children.

Van provided for his family as a master carpenter and with his ranching which was a great joy in his life. He was baptized and served the Lord by being an elder and interim preacher for the Menard Church of Christ for many years. Van's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. The time he spent with Ora Fay at the coast were among his most cherished memories.

Van is survived by his 4 children, Charles Edward and wife Shelia of Cummings, Georgia, Jimmie Dean and wife Carol of San Angelo, and twins, Lana Gail Bundick and husband Michael Ringham of Spring Branch, Texas and Larry Dale and wife Brenda of Junction, Texas; also survived by grandchildren Tana, Tammy, Ty, Justin, Aaron, Amanda, and Travis and numerous great grandchildren, two brothers, Earl Trimble and Carol (Mote) Trimble and wife Carolyn of Junction, Texas.

Van is preceded in death by his wife Ora Fay, a grandson, Tate Trimble and his siblings, Roy, Francis Marion, Winnie Sauer, Fay Patton, Effie Neel, Raymond and Phillip.

Services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Menard Church of Christ with burial to follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Mike Riley will officiate. Family Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-7 P.M. in Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Menard, Texas.

Pallbearers: Justin Trimble, Travis Trimble, Aaron Bundick, Austin Trimble, Dakota Eckert, and Taylor Meador.

Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Jacoby, Novice Kniffen, John Pierce, Bill Potter Michael Beam and Mario Ramirez.
