Born March 21, 1900, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James and Nettie (Owens) McGlothlin. She had been a cook at Indiana University prior to her retirement and was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include one son, Robert Koontz of Bloomington; one sister, Celestie Angrick of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Linda Stickels of Bloomington; five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hassel C. Koontz, in 1967.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Day Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Robert Fleener and the Rev. Boyde Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday at 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
