Fred [Slick] Meisner, 88, of a nursing home in De Soto in Johnson County, died Thursday at the home. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. Mr Meisner, a custom butcher, operated the former Fred Meisner Custom Slaughtering, 3600 County Line Road, from 1935 to 1970. He was a Catholic.

He leaves two sons, Richard F Meisner, 11015 E 24th, Independence, and Lawrence R Meisner, 3618 County Line Road, Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter, Ms Francie Park, Kansas City; two brothers, Tony Meisner and Frank Meisner, both of Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Mrs Helen Hughes, New York; five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters,

Services will be at 2pm Monday at the Maple Hill Chapel; burial in Stony Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Sunday at the Chapel.
