BENTON, Ky.--Graveside services for Carl W. Thweatt, 88, of Dallas, formerly of Benton will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery in Calloway County.
He died at 8 a.m. Friday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. Thweatt was a retired commercial and residential painter. He was a member of Gaston Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas and was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by a sister, Clara Lambert of Paducah; a half sister, Julia Kenney of Tupelo, Miss.; and a half brother, Cecil Thweatt of Memphis.

His parents were William Albert Thweatt and Edna Puckett Thweatt.

There will be no visitation. Filbeck and Cann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
