Janet spent most of her early life in Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas and California. In 1971 she moved to the Anderson, Missouri area. Janet's hands were never idle, either it be a sewing or craft project, caring for her yard and home, or tending to the needs of her animals.
On October 6, 1995, she was united in marriage to Roy T. Kernell, and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include her parents, Harold and Elaine Hagan of Anderson, Missouri; two step-sons, Roy Dale Kernell of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Kirt Kernell of Golden City, Missouri; a step-daughter, Jackie Kernell of Newkirk, Oklahoma; six step-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold E. Hagan and wife, Dora, of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Donald E. Hagan and wife, Dianne, of Neosho, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorials are being directed to the cemetery care fund and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
