Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the residence with Rev. Aaron Gorham officiating, assisted by Rev. A. T. Valentine. Burial was in Cypress Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. C. Q. Cockerham, one son, C. Q., Jr., of Dodson; two daughters, Mrs. W. E. Higgs of Dodson, Route 2, and Mrs. Fred Lovell of Winnfield; two brothers, John of Winnfield and S. G. of Milford, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Wiley Boyett of Dodson, Route 2, Mrs. Ed Coonce of Rayville, and Mrs. Katie Deen of Winnsboro; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Cockerham, Ocie Cockerham, Leon Carpenter, Webb Hodges, Henry Cockerham, and J. D. Rudd.
