Esther was born 30 Nov 1841 at her Grandfather Robert Sinclairs home the Clairmont House to William and Deborah Corse of Baltimore, Md on 30 Nov 1841. She grew up in Furley Hall once taken by the British during the Revolutionary War, and watched her father and bothers run the Furley Nurseries and Gardens. Esther graduated from Irving College in the Class of 1860, in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
She married Dr Edward W Janney of Loudoun Co, Va. and lived in Baltimore, Md.
