He was born at Downsville, Wisconsin in 1912. After attending school there he came to Waterloo and had been employed at the Rath Packing Plant for 12 years.
Mr. Peterson was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Downsville.
Surviving are his father, Richard Peterson and a sister Mrs. Miles L. Smith, both of Downsville; two brothers, George Peterson 507 California Street and Albert Peterson Camp Livingston, Louisiana, a member of the regular army and two half-brothers, Olaf Backen 923 Oneida Street and Arthur Backen Downsville. His mother died eight years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the O'Keefe & Towne Chapel by Rev. R. B. Sires, pastor of Linden Methodist Church. Burial will be at Downsville.
