Ernest was born on January 29th, 1944 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, son of the late Columbus Clines and Arlie Lee Calhoun Clines. He was united in marriage to Margaret Jean Calhoun Clines.
Ernest was a sawmill worker and he adhered to the Baptist Faith. He was a kind person who is greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Ernest was survived by three sons, Earnie (and Kim) Clines, Jessie (and Gena) Clines, and Bobby Jo (and Alicia) Clines; two daughters, Judy (and Bill) Cummins and Alice (and Ray) Whitis; two step-daughters, Peggy (and Jessie Ray) Stone and Delores (and Jackie) Vaughn; two half-brothers, Howard Calhoun and James Grider; one half-sister, Florence Grider; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Clines, who departed this life on June 11th, 1988 and Arlie Lee Clines, who departed this life on November 30th, 1994; his wife, Margaret Jean Calhoun Clines, who departed this life on March 23rd, 2002; and three grandchildren, Bradley Whitis, Jessica Goodin, and Felicidy Cummins.
Visitations were held at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7th, 2006.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8th, 2006 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Reynolds officiating.
Burial followed in the Ringgold Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
