Charlotte Cecile Harrington was the daughter of James Frankline Harrington and Helen Durant Harrington. She was the Granddaughter of James Harrington and Charlotte Walrod Harrington. She married Ira Jay Dutton on 23 January 1901, in Ashland, Ashland County, Wisconsin. The town of Ashland extends into Bayfield County. Ira was born on 3 October 1869, in Sherman, Chautauqua County, New York. He died on 4 February 1929, in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. Ira was the son of Franklin and Lucy Dutton.

In 1930, Charlotte was living with her sister Abbie, in Sycamore. Also living in the household is Charlotte's daughter Constance. Constance was single.
