Annabel Cook, 81 of Kennard, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday Feb. 18, at Grace Methodist Church in Kennard. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
Annabel "Billie" Davis was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Herman to Jessie and Anna (Nielsen) Davis. She married Howard Cook on Nov. 2, 1945.
Mrs. Cook was a housewife and also taught ceramics in her home for 15 years. She enjoyed most artistic things such as ceramics, music, quilts, oil and water painting and building houses with her husband and any of the family members available.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Kahnk of Kennard, Sandra and Carmen Goodrich of Woodbine, Iowa, Dorothy and Ron Kuehn of Woodbine, Iowa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kay Cook of Kennard and Jim and Beth Cook of Cave Creek, Ariz., 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a sister, Nina Phalen of Lyons; and one brother, Jessie "Bud" Davis of Shippensburg, Penn.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Howard, and Allan; three sisters, Dorothy Tranmer, Maxine Shotwell and Madeline Carlson; a son-in-law, Rollie Kahnk; and a grandson, Dan Kahnk.
