Date of death on gravestone inscription appears to be in error. Newspaper obit says she died July 9, 1906 and was buried July 10, 1906; city record says she was buried July 12, 1906. So birth date on grave marker may also be inaccurate (said to be age 70 when she died).
City record from sexton says Mattie King, a single female born in AL, died age 70 in East Point, GA of heart disease and buried July 12, 1906 in Lot 555 of Section C by undertaker Charlton Lafayette Torbett, local death certificate #135, sexton Jesse Alexander Beard.
