HARDIN, Mont. — Sheridan County native Mildred Hamilton, 92, died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at the Heritage Acres Nursing Home in Hardin. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lodge Grass Little Brown Church. Interment will be in the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bullis Mortuary of Hardin. Mrs. Hamilton was born Oct. 13, 1908, on Dutch Creek to Joshua and Mary Leitner Buckingham. The family moved to the Lodge Grass area when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Lodge Grass. She married Otto G. Hamilton July 18, 1928, in Hardin. He died in 1967. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Edel Boggess, Harlow Buckingham, Lila Buckingham, Ellen Westbrook, Lee Buckingham and Mabel Hartman; and by a grandson. Survivors include a son, Harley of Stephensville; a brother, Calvin Buckingham Sr. of Hardin; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lodge Grass Little Brown Church.
