Harold will be loved, remembered and missed forever in the hearts of all who

loved him. Harold was born in MN. His Parents Peter and Anna Jordet

immigrated with his Siblings Julia, Arthur, Twins Mattie and Karen,

Grandmother Carrie (Kari) Botten from Norway to America in approx. 1909. Harold's

Father Peter's Sister Hannah Øverjordet Olson and Spouse Anton and baby Daughter

Alma arrived to the USA from Norway in 1901. Hannah Gulbrandsdatter Øverjordet

married Anton Mellemsdokken Olsen in Norway. Their names changed to

Anton and Hannah Jordet Olson in MN after immigration to USA. The Peter Jordet

Family were in Mpls MN a short time and moved to Pine county. Harold spent much

time throughout his life with Family and Friends. Harold served our

Country in the USA Military a long time as a SSGT during World War II.

Herald and his Spouse Geraldine (Geri) raised their Family in the

Twin Cities MN area. Harold is survived by many family and friends in the MN

area. Per his two elderly Cousins, as of 2021, Harold is remembered fondly

as "one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet."

back from abt 1920 found in Harold's Cousin Aless Olsen's family heirlooms.

Trucking Industry. Gerri worked for Ramsey County in Ramsey Co. MN.

remember Harold and Geri Jordet well.

Geri was a absolutely beautiful, articulate graceful, charming, smart wonderful woman and much more. Harold was a smart, hard working, social, outgoing, charming wonderful Man with many same great attributes. They were very active at

Family gatherings and events years ago. Harold and his cousins Aless Olsen,

Twins Art & Harold Olson, other cousins got together often at Martin & Oline Olson

Carlson's home and at the Home of Aless & Dena Olsen in Mpls MN. Harold and Aless

saw much of each other when Harold worked for Wagner Trucking in South Mpls MN and Aless worked across the street. Our Family has many cherished fond memories

of Harold, Geri and his family from many years ago.

Olsen and Olson spelling for Uncle Anton's Family- same family, Aless

resumed the Norwegian Olsen Spelling as an adult. Uncle and Aunt Anton and

Hannah changed from Olsen to Olson after 1901 immigration from Norway

Our Family has her as Harold's Sibling. 1940 Census sites Grand Daughter for Anna & Peter. more information needed. She lived with Peter and Anna in Kerrick Pine County as a child per census reports. She later moved to Orlando Florida, Orange Co. by 1981 or sooner. Adeline passed away in 2007 in Orlando Florida.

We don't know where Adeline is buried. We would like to create a Memorial for her and link to Harold.

buried. We would like to create a Memorial for Pearl and link her to Family. Pearl

Married Albert Victor Wicklund 6/27/1936 in Pine County MN. Albert is buried at

Riverside Cemetery Moose Lake MN. Pearl and Albert lived in Moose Lake as of

1940 Census. They had a least two children- Dale and Dennis Wicklund

who have both passed away as of 2012. Dennis is buried in Florida and has a

Memorial linked to his Father.

MN. Harold and his Family spent much time with His Father's Sister Hannah and Anton Olson Famiy. Harold's Cousin Oline Olson Carlson and Harold's Sister Mattie and Karen were our Family historians. Family history was their passion. ( Hannah Jordet Olson's Daughter) Oline talked so much about her Jordet Family. Oline always got excited when Harold's twin sisters Mattie and Karen visited Oline in her

Mpls MN. home. Julia, Mattie and Karen worked in Mpls MN for many years

at the former Crosby Family owned by FW Crosby & Harriot Mansion on

2120 Park Ave S. Mpls. and the other mansion built across the street for

their children, Elizabeth Crosby Family Mpls. Karen got married in later years.


Harold's Siblings used to keep in contact with our Family in Norway. Mattie and

Karen had a family contact in Norway that this writer's family has lost touch with.

Our Cousins may have been communicating with their Father Peter's Brother

Ole G. Øverjordet, his family or other relatives in Norway. Ole passed away

in 1972 in Gausdal Oppland Norway. ( Ole 5/24/1882-5/24/1972, lived in Norway.)

In the early 1900'a the Øverjordet Family, some relation to Hannah, purchased what

used to be the Olsen Family Mellemsdokken Farm of Anton Olsen's Family near Vinstra Norway. The Family that originally lived there around 1915 changed her name to the Norwegian Family Farm Name via Norwegian tradition to Mellemsdokken initially according to Norwegian Farm Name Custom.

Harold's Aunt Hannah's Grandchild, G.Grandchildren visited the Farm in Norway,

and other places in Norway our family live d and met some relatives in Norway in 2011.


There are many Jordet Family members on Family Search website for the Twin Cities

Metro area, other parts of MN and other states. Their relationship if any

unknown at this time as of 2014.


Harold's Cousins, Hannah Olson's Grandson and Alma Wickstrom's Son,

as well as Aless Olsen's Daughter remember visiting the Jordets at

their Family farm in Moose Lake when they were younger. Hannah's

Grandson remembers Harold being a wonderful man and Family cherish

their fond memories of Harold. Harold and Geri continued their relationship

with Harold's Olson/Olsen Cousins until throughout their lives. Harold used to

work near where Aless Olsen worked in Mpls MN and they spent much time

together. Harold and Geri spent time with their cousin Oline Olson Carlson's

family at her home in N. Mpls MN. Harold and Geri spent time with Oline Olson Carlson, Aless Olsen Family, Harold Olsen Family and Art Olsen Family at Oline's and

other Family events. Harold and Geri had at least three children,

Linda and David and Rosanne.


In Norway, There is a slash over the O in Overjordet. Øverjordet. Our relatives

changed their Norwegian Øverjordet Farm last name spelling to Jordet in the USA.
