The following is a write-up on his death.
The body of William Keenan, 37 years old, was found on the railroad track just south of Southwick station Friday by the train hands on the north-bound freight.
He had apparently been struck by a night freight train as the body was cold when found. One leg was cut off and the back was badly injured, death having been instantaneous.
The deceased leaves two brothers, James and Daniel, and a mother, who lives with Daniel in Westfield.
