Myrtle Koke, 90, of Tallula died Monday, April 24, 2006, at Villa Healthcare East.

She was born April 20, 1916, in Barnhill, the daughter of Edward Charles and Grace Buchanan Baker. She married John Finley Koke in 1934; he died in 1990. A daughter, Norma Jean Koke, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Koke was a homemaker, worked at West Food Stores and for the New Berlin school system, and made custom draperies. She was a member of Petersburg Church of Christ.

Survivors: four sons, Donald (wife, Alecia) Koke of Mendota, John Richard (wife, Linda) Koke of Knoxville, Tenn., David (wife, Sharon) Koke of Tallula and Michael (wife, Cari) Koke of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Cheffy of Sherman, Alice Crowe of Grass Valley, Calif., Helen Horn of New Berlin and Opal Tuxhorn of Pawnee; three brothers, Russell (wife, Mitzi), Floyd (wife, Delores) and Paul (wife, Maria) Baker, all of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home, New Berlin, the Rev. Ken Gennicks officiating. Burial: Old Salem Cemetery, Gardner Township.
