Graveside services for L D Bordeaux will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Providence Methodist Church Cemetery in Clarke County, with the Revs. Leslie Aucoin, Ken Tew, and Larry Summerall officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bordeaux, 84, of Meridian, died Friday March 6, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Forestry degree and was a USDA Forester, retiring in Leland. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Geneva Bordeaux of Meridian, a daughter, Betty Lou Cullum of Birmingham, Ala., stepsons, Gaius Tew and his wife, Tegetta, of Bailey, and Philip Tew and his wife, Suzett, of Decatur, Ala. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Cooksey and a son, Jimmy Bordeaux. Pallbearers will be Daniel Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Clint Tew, Ken Tew, Larry Summerall, Lindsey Summerall and John Lafferty. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
