Mrs. Bertha Eller Taken Here Sunday - Bertha Eller, 73, died Sunday afternoon at Grangeville General Hospital, where she had been a patient about a week.
She was born January 4, 1883, at Cherokee, Iowa, and came to Idaho as a girl, arriving at Grangeville May 15, 1896. She was married to Joseph Eller at Grangeville in June of 1902.
They made their home on a farm near Grangeville and moved into town in 1930. Mr. Eller died April 9, 1950. She was a member of the Grangeville Christian Church.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Rita Coons, Bishop, Calif.; four sons, Frank of Grangeville, Vern and Vance both of Kamiah. and Dale of Nezperce; five sisters, Mrs. Ben Robertson of Moscow, Mrs. Maryett Miller and Mrs. Belva Huffman, both of Grangeville, Mrs. Sylvia Richardson of Lewiston and Mrs. Nettie Morris of Juneau, Alaska; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Ailor Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Howard Hake of the Christian Church at Nezperce officiating. Burial was at Prairie View Cemetery.
