Thelma married Robert Bruce Forbes (1879-1958) in 1916. After he passed away she re-married in 1966. Her 2nd husband was widower, Gerald Dowman Core (1885-1974).
Thelma Strickland Forbes Core was buried next to Robert Forbes in Crawfordville Cemetery. Gerald Core is buried next to his 1st wife in Zion Hill Cemetery, Wakulla County, FL.

CARRABELLE: Thelma Forbes Core, 86, of Carrabelle died Sunday at home.
The service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Crawfordville Cemetery.
A native of Ivan, she moved from Crawfordville to Carrabelle, where she lived 29 years. She was a homemaker and member of Crawfordville Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Vivian Everritt of Carrabelle; a sister, Freida McCallister of Perry; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
