Steven Curtis Golden, 59, of Oklahoma City, passed away at his home March 3, 2009. He was born January 19, 1950, in Boonville, MO, to Betty & Harold Golden. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1968. He married Suzanne McGee on July 11, 1969. He was drafted in 1970 during the Vietnam War serving until November 1971. Upon returning home he earned his Associate's degree at Oscar Rose and went onto earn his Bachelor of Science from Central State. As a founding member of Perfection Electric, he spent the next 30 years as an electrical contractor and worked for the City of Midwest City until his death. He volunteered his time as President of MWC Baseball Assoc., a non-profit organization, for 21 years. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dora and Grover Farrar and paternal grandparents, Everett and Velma Golden, 2 brothers-in- law, Bob Coons, and Ed McGee and 1 uncle, Kenny Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Suzanne Golden dau- ghter and son-in-law, Kimberly (Golden) and Michael Smith of MWC son, Brian Golden of OKC mother, Betty Golden of MWC father, Harold Golden & wife Bonnie of Boonville, MO sister, Sharon Stewart & husband John of Yukon brother, David Golden & wife Sara of Denver, CO half brother, Jim Golden of Boonville, MO 1 granddaughter, Arissa "Roo" who brought great joy to his life 1 uncle, 3 aunts, numerous nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank the VA Oncology Staff and OU Radiology Staff. Memorial services will be held 3:30 PM, Saturday, 3/7/2009, at the funeral home chapel.
