PRINCEVILLE, IL – Robert A. Garner, 35, of 910 N Larkin Ave, Joliet, IL, formerly of Princeville, died at 9:52 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005, in rural Peoria County.

Born June 11, 1970, in Peoria, the son of Larry & Mary Davenport Garner, he married Jennifer Wertz in November, 1992, in Laura, IL. She died of cancer on November 4, 2001, in Joliet, IL. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Janet Lee Garner.

Surviving is one son, Matthew Alan, and 2 daughters, Jamie Lynn & Emily Jane, all at home; his parents of Joliet; 3 brothers, James (and Juanita) of Palm Springs, CA, John of Bartonville, and David (and Lisa) of Channahon, IL; and 2 sisters, Judy Sullivan of Coventry, RI, and Angie (and Scott) Gardner of Princeville. He had many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Princeville High School, he worked as a croupier for Trump Casino in Gary, IN, last working two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2005, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Marc Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to time of service. Burial will be in Brimfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his children, in care of the Princeville State Bank.
