Jeannette T. Koniewicz, 64, of Pottstown, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Elizabeth G. Smith McShea.
Jeannette was married for 40 years to Stanley A. "Butch" Koniewicz.
Jeannette was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School and attended St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing.
She was very artistic and enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. She was always doing for others.
A homemaker, she loved to play with children.
She enjoyed the Chesapeake Bay.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kevin P. Koniewicz of Philadelphia; and a daughter, Sharon E. Lapp and her husband, Cory, of North Carolina. She is further survived by two brothers, Michael J. McShea of Mt. Laurel, N.J., and Harry McShea Jr. of Baltimore; three sisters, Eileen Wylie of Laporte, Mary Sneed of Carlisle and Pat Lamb of Coatesville; and 19 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph M. McShea.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Jeannette at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at St. Cecilia Church, Sixth Avenue and East Chestnut Street, Coatesville, where family and friends may call beginning at 9:30 a.m.
At a later date, private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Martha's Manor Craft Fund, 470 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335.
