Blanche M. Gunn, 98, of St. Regis Falls.
Friends may call at the Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, Friday, March 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Gunn will be Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in St. Regis Falls with Rev. Alfred Fish celebrating. Lunch will be served immediately following at the St. Regis Falls Adult Center. Spring burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in St. Regis Falls.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Gloria Perry of St. Regis Falls; four grandchildren, Bryon and Jayne Perry of Watertown, Stephen and Patricia Perry of Adams, Keith and Elizabeth Perry of Adams, and Christine Banville of Adams Center; brothers and sisters, Eli and Barbara Sochia of Hopkinton, Laura Benedict of Albany, Eldora and Clark Tharrette of Dickinson, Katherine Susice of Niagara Falls, Grace Jenkins of Winthrop, Wilfred and Freda Sochia of Winthrop, Timothy Sochia of Hopkinton, Mary Witherall of Parishville and Adele Sochia of St. Regis Falls; and four great-granddaughters.

Four brothers, Howard Sochia, Gilbert Sochia, Elroy Sochia and James Sochia, and three sisters, Anna Tharrett, Edith Regan and Elsie Sochia, predeceased her. She was the oldest of seven brothers and nine sisters.

Blanche was born on April 28, 1910, in St. Regis Falls, daughter of the late Edison and Hattie Caskinette Sochia. She graduated from St. Regis Falls Central School in 1930 and then graduated from the Watertown School of Commerce. She married Francis Perry, who predeceased her and in September 1962, she married Raphael Gunn, who passed away in 1991.

Throughout her life, her most important job was homemaker and mother. Also, she worked as a waitress in Cranberry Lake, Long Lake and Brant Lake, where she had lived for many years. She also worked at many sportsman's clubs, including the St. Regis Falls Sportsman Club.

Mrs. Gunn was a communicant of St. Ann's Church; a member of the St. Regis Falls Adult Center.
