GIBSON--
Mrs. Luch Welch and other relatives received the sad message on Jan. 31 , that Mrs. John Gibson had just died at her home in Ludlow from an illness with pneumonia. She was before her marriage Miss Jessie Preston, of High Bridge and Mr. Gibson was reared in Burgin and every one who knows him is his friend. Burial was at Wilmore on Feb. 3.

Mrs. Jessie Rivers Gibson, aged 38 years, the wife of Mr. John Gibson, formerly of Burgin, died at their home in Ludlow last Thursday, January 31. She was born in Mercer county, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Preston, the former being for many years a prominent merchant at High Bridge.
Mrs. Gibson early in life united with the Christian church and was a devout and saintly woman all her life. She was stricken with double pneumonia, and this complicated with Bright's disease, caused her death after an illness of about a week.
Her funeral was held at the residence in Ludlow, and the remains and the funeral party were brought in a private car to Wilmore where the interment took place. She is survived by husband and three children, Robert, aged 18; John, Jr., 1 2; and Louise, 10 years old. Mr. Herbert Carr, of this place, a cousin, attended the funeral.
Obit states she was 38 at the time of her death in 1924.
