William Strauder Foster was the 5th of eleven children born to Hannah (Froman) Foster and Robert Foster of Albany, Oregon. He never married, but was committed to his land which he farmed all of his life until he retired and then was taken by stomach cancer at the age of 79 yrs. He was loved by his remaining brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews, and it was with heavy heart that he was buried at Riverside Cemetery with his parents and siblings who had gone before him.
