. . The remains, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Glad Snodgrass left Floydada the morning following her death, but on account of missing train connections at Amarillo, did not arrive here until Sunday night. The remains were conveyed to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Levi A. Dunlap. where funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. J. Mann, of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of McGregor, assisted by Rev. S. R. Standefer, of Merkel. Songs were touchingly rendered by Miss Myrtle Dunn, Mrs. Jno. E. Robertson, Miss Ruby Tidwell, Mrs. Virgil Odle and Messrs. Jno. E.Robertson and Elmo Alexander, after which the remains were interred in Meridian Cemetery.
. . About one year ago Mrs. Golden had a slight stroke of paralysis and a since that time had been in poor health. She spent three months here recently visiting relatives and friends, returning home about a month ago- and her heath seemed greatly improved by the visit. She was again stricken with paralysis Thursday of last week and shortly afterwards became unconscious and lingered until the third stroke, which caused her and death.
. . She Was the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. J. W. Adams and was the eldest child of fifteen children. She was born in the Rock Church community
near Valley Mills, November 7, 1867, and was converted at an early age and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a faithful member of the church, but just as faithful in believing it was her duty as a Christian to do the will of her Master at of all times. She was always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need - both in acts of kindness and in words, and to a number of people had stated that she was prepared for the Master's summon at any time. She had lived in Floydada for the past fifteen years where she leaves a legion of n friends. She had previously lived in Meridian for about thirty years; here she developed into beautiful girlhood and has many relatives and life-long friends, and it was beautifully appropriate that she select our "Silent City" as her final earthly resting place.
. . To her the struggle and burden bearing of earth are are ended, and we confidently trust that like one who awakes from a troubled dream, she has awakened see life's endless morning break and knows herself at home with all the vast throng of loved ones, missed from earth, safe about her.
. . She is survived by her mother, Mrs. J. W. Adams, Floydada; four brothers, John B. and Goo. 1. Adams, Meridian; T. P. Adams, Wichita Falls; Hugh Adams, Burkburnett; six sisters, Mrs. Ed Sears, Valley Mills; Mrs. Levi A.
