∼
The Clinton County Times, Fri.,Oct. 8, 1915, p. 1:
"A Remarkable Old Solider.
"Daniel Kennelly, of Bald Eagle township, was a caller at the Times office Monday and renewed his subscription until 1917. Mr. Kennelly is in may respects a remarkable man, to begin with he is an old veteran of the Civil war, having served in Co. K, 187th P.V. He is now 83 years of age and aside from suffering from the effects of a recent fall he enjoys good health. He is grandfather of 26 children, and great-grandfather of 57 children, making a total of 83, or one for every year of his age. He is an old pensioner and entitled to every cent he draws. May he round out his 100 years and have a new grandchild or two added for each year he sojourns in the hills of Old Bald Eagle."
