Joseph Lorenzo Schouten, 57, 4156 Shanna St., died Dec. 11, 1977, in a local hospital of complications following surgery.
Born Feb. 2, 1920, Salt Lake City, to Adrian John and Lena Van Leeuwen Schouten. Married Velma Williamson. Later divorced. Married Nelda Graaf March 25, 1972, Salt Lake City. Member of the Granger Eagles.
Survivors: wife, three sons, Joseph Leroy, Jay Adrian, Jim Crowley, all of Salt Lake City; three step-daughters, Carla Shaffer, Columbia Falls, Mont., Sharon Foster, Salt Lake City, Sonnie Heyman, Van Nuys, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack, Lena Cockerill, Joyce Christofferson all of Riverton; Fred, Hayward, Calif.; Gertrude Eastman, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., Redwood Memorial Estates Chapel, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday one hour prior to service. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral Directors, Memorial Estates.
