Vida Eva Beers, 70, of Coalport, died at the Hershey Medical Center, yesterday, March 7, at 12:20 a.m. She was born in Blain City, July 11, 1905, a daughter of Virtin and Mary E. (Harber) Brown. She was a member of the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Chruch. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Donald (Grace) Shomo of Hollentown; Mrs. Aldean (Betty Mae) Hamilton of Clearfield; Mrs. Anthony (Mabel) Klenak of McKeesport; Mrs. George (Lela) Gallaher of Irvona; Mrs. Norma McGarvey and Mrs. James (Patricia ) Skebeck, both of Coalport; Vertin of Altoona and William of Lewistown. Twenty-six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren survives as do two brothers; Leroy brown of Altoona and Orin Brown of Cassville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and a daughter, Louise. Services will be held from the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Wednesday, March 10 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Edward Mink and the Rev. Jack Waite will officiate and interment will be in the Beaver Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wendell W. Lloyd Funeral Home in Irvona, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
