Pauline E. Edwards, 78, of Martinsville died Feb. 27th at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center, Martinsville. She was born in Morgan County, IN on February 23, 1931 to the late Herald L. & Mary S. (Gray) Owens. Mrs. Edwards worked for Standard Grocery in Martinsville, was a member of the Paragon Baptist Church, Paragon and a graduate of Eminence High School with the Class of 1948. She married Melvin Dean Edwards on May 28, 1949; he preceded her in death November 7, 2007. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her sons, Rev. Gary D. Edwards of Martinsville & Eddie L. Edwards of Paragon, IN. Also surviving are her sisters, Mary Jane Ratts & Patty Cooper both of Paragon and Lois L. Martin and Lena Towell of Martinsville and her grandchildren, Stephanie Ramsey, Michelle Beers, Cody, Kristle, Chris, Olivia & Paul Edwards and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephan "Shorty" Edwards, brothers, Leon & Lee Eddie Owens, sister, Velma Jean Owens and granddaughter, Natasha Edwards. She enjoyed flower & vegetable gardening, church and playing cards. Friends may visit Monday, Mar. 2nd from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, Mar. 3rd one hour prior to the service at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center, Martinsville. A celebration of life service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Friendship Park Cemetery, Paragon.
