Pauline Cordell of 11200 Dorset Ave. died Wednesday in Pomona Valley Community Hospital after a short illness.
She was born in St. Paul, Ark., on Jan. 10, 1920, and came to Pomona 15 years ago from Springdale, Ark. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Pomona.
Surviving are her husband, J. D. Cordell; two sons, Grover and Jerry Cordell, both of Pomona; four sisters, Mrs. Aline Spirgen of La Habra, Mrs. Kathleen Fowler of La Habra, Mrs. Robbie Porter of Pomona and Mrs. Joyce Weible of Paxton, Ill.; a brother, Lawrence Shipp of Mojave; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Griffith Chapel, Chino. Burial will be in Pomona Cemetery. The Revs. John Stevens, Henry Owens and Milford Keeling will officiate.
